She followed her husband out to Malta, and lived in Olga House, 71 Mannarino Road, Birkinkara, Malta, with her young son Malcolm. The funeral service was held at Taunton Deane Crematorium Chapel, on 19 March 1993, no 51653. Her ashes were scattered by Eric on the Dancing Ledge beauty spot in Dorset.

Phyllis married Eric Calladine, son of Henry Arthur Calladine and Nellie Fuller, on 11 Jun 1949 in St Stephens, Sneinton, Nottinghamshire England. (Eric Calladine was born on 9 Oct 1927 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire England.)
