• Medical. The cause of his death was broke his neck after falling from his horse.

• emigrated. • He emigrated on the "Lady Ann" to Australi awith cousin Adolphus Squire in 1854.

• Occupation. He was employed in 1857 in Sydney, NSW.. Employer Mr George England, Cambridge Place, Sydney & then in 1858 at Government House.

• note. He lived at Glebe where he met Sarah Elizabeth Dury. In 1863 Thomas purchased 3 blocks totalling 66 acres at Brownlow Hill, near Camden, NSW and the following year Thomas and Elizabeth moved there to start a dairy farm. By this time Sarah had given birth to 3 children. After arriving at Brownlow Hill 4 more children arrived.
According to descendants, Sarah left Thomas between 1873 & 1898 refusing to live in a tumble down shack on the dairy and longer.
In 1885 Thomas' son Fred purchased 23 adjoining acres at Brownlow Hill. Thomas also owned land at Albion St Surrey Hills, Sydney, adjoining a block owned by Octavius.
On Oct 11 Thomas was riding a horse on the dairy at Brownlow Hill when he was thrown and fell heavily. He broke his neck and died some time later that day.
After Thomas' death his sons Fred and Jack continued to run the farm until Fred married his cousin Lillian Bryant (daughter of Octavius), This was a double wedding with Lillian's sister marrying Jack Day. Four years later Fred and Lily moved with two of their children, Frederick & John to 23 Short St Gladesville, Sydney. Four more children were born in Gladesville.
Jack did not marry and continued to live on the farm at Brownlow Hill for a number of years. Then in later life he moved to Short St Gladesville to live with his brother Fred and his family.
Thomas' land at Bownlow Hill remained in the family until 1985 when a large portion was sold


Thomas married Sarah Elizabeth Dury, daughter of James Dury and Jane Griffin, on 23 Jan 1857 in St Lawrence Church of England, George St, Sydney, NSW Australia. (Sarah Elizabeth Dury was born in 1832 in Wooten Basset, Wiltshire England.)
