Noted events in his life were: • source. Steven Sinden & Bill Bryant • Medical. The cause of his death was broke his neck after falling from his horse. • emigrated. • He emigrated on the "Lady Ann" to Australi awith cousin Adolphus Squire in 1854. • Occupation. He was employed in 1857 in Sydney, NSW.. Employer Mr George England, Cambridge Place, Sydney & then in 1858 at Government House. • note. He lived at Glebe where he met Sarah Elizabeth Dury. In 1863 Thomas purchased 3 blocks totalling 66 acres at Brownlow Hill, near Camden, NSW and the following year Thomas and Elizabeth moved there to start a dairy farm. By this time Sarah had given birth to 3 children. After arriving at Brownlow Hill 4 more children arrived. Thomas married Sarah Elizabeth Dury, daughter of James Dury and Jane Griffin, on 23 Jan 1857 in St Lawrence Church of England, George St, Sydney, NSW Australia. (Sarah Elizabeth Dury was born in 1832 in Wooten Basset, Wiltshire England.) |
