BIOGRAPHY: Mary Alexander was born in Ireland in She worked as a servant before moving to Australia.
BIOGRAPHY: She married Robert Elliot in Ireland. In 1844 the family decided to immigrated to Australia on the Ship 'United Kingdom' when they immigrated the family consisted of:

BIOGRAPHY: It is believed that Mary married beneath her station. When they came to Australia they moved to the Illawarra region where some friends of the Hamiltons lived named the Osbornes. They were horse breeders and we know that Robert worked for them as a Stable hand.
Both parents died after Mary immigrated to Australia
