During Hannah and Joseph union they proudly produced eight children; however, the names of all their children are not known. This author connects the one offspring "Benjamin Dawson", to Joseph and Hannah Dawson, and this of their eight children Benjamin Dawson is the third son born. This is all that is known of the family at this time. Benjamin's records show he is the third son of eight and indicate on his death records that he was born at Bedfordshire, England and Benjamin was born on March 26, 1769.

Joseph married Hannah. (Hannah was born circa 1725, died after 1779 in Ravensden, Bedfordshire England ⁵¹⁵ and was buried in Ravensden, Bedfordshire England.)
