• source. Rob Train who writes that he moved to the Cassilis / Merriwa area of NSW and were pominent in both running and cricket.
He also writes that David and his brother Alexander were charged at Rylstone with cattle stealing. The Police Gazette whos they were apprehended on 11 Oct 1871. David was sentenced to 1 years hard labour at Darlinghurst Gaol.

David married Margaret Quinn, daughter of Thomas Quinn and Mary Hynes, on 1 Jan 1878 in Catholic Church, Scone, NSW Australia. (Margaret Quinn was born circa 1855, died on 23 Jun 1930 in Somerton, Scone, NSW Australia and was buried in Catholic Cemetery, Attunga, near Tamworth, NSW Australia.)
