James Foulcher
General Notes: In the 1830's James Foulcher became the owner of 100 acres in the Thornleigh area. This land was siturated in the present day's Duffy Avenue and had previously been granted to a Michael O'Conner, a constable at the Field of Mars. Noted events in his life were: • Occupation: Blacksmith. James married Catherine Brien, daughter of Daniel Brien and Mary Ann Parker (Alias Wilcox), on 28 Feb 1825 in St Johns C of E, Parramatta, Sydney, NSW Australia. (Catherine Brien was born on 19 Oct 1809 in Seven Hills, Sydney, NSW Australia, christened on 5 Nov 1815, died on 11 Dec 1832 and was buried on 13 Dec 1832 in St Johns C of E Cemetery, Parramatta, Sydney NSW Australia.) James next married Helen Lee in 1830. (Helen Lee was born circa 1810.) |
