During Elis' birth, and because of the difficulty of it, the mother, Mary (nee Richardson) Dawson died, and this left little baby Elis to be raised by a nanny until Ellis (senior) Dawson remarried. The nanny for most of the time was Charlotte Saunders a widow. Charlotte ((nee Swan) nee Saunders) took over the duties and care of that job as mother for the remaining children in the Dawson house. She helped raise Elis in becoming a healthy, wise, young man. Elis Jr Richardson Dawson died 1945 at New South Wales. Ellis jr. Richardson Dawson was buried 1945, in New South Wales.
