• Census. CENSUS 1841: Ann at 61 is listed as "Independent Means". Her son, Francis, (listed as a farmer) and his young family live with her, as do two male servants and one female. She lives on the High Street.
CENSUS 1851: Ann at 71 lives on her own next door to Francis and his family on North Street. On census day, she is caring for her 4-year-old granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth. Francis is now defined as an "Agricultural Labourer", employed but not a landowner.
CENSUS 1861: Ann is last mentioned at age 81, occupation listed as housekeeper, living on the Main (or High) Street of Nafferton next door to the Cross Keys Inn. Widowed Francis (51) and the three youngest of his kids, still in school, Mary (15), Bielby (9) and Frederick (7) live with her.
Her death was registered in the spring quarter of 1870 in Nafferton. She was 88.


Ann married Robert Storry, son of Richard Storey and Elizabeth Thornton, on 27 Oct 1805 in Burton Agnes, North Humberside England. (Robert Storry was born in 1775 in Harpham, North Humberside England, christened on 28 Oct 1775 in Harpham, North Humberside England and died in 1835-1840 in Nafferton, East Yorkshire England.)
