Funeral was at St Johns Catholic Church, Auburn, NSW, AUSTRALIA same church as his marraige When Alwyn and Inez were married it was a requirement that both be catholics for the marraige to take place within the church in front of the alter otherwise they would have to have been married in a back room of the church, loving his future wife Alwyn became a catholic and there was a full wedding in his beloved wife's church.

Alwyn married Inez Agnes Downes, daughter of William David Downes and Annie, on 27 Apr 1940 in St Johns Catholic Church, Auburn, Sydney NSW Australia. (Inez Agnes Downes was born circa 1920 and died in 1969 in Parramatta, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
