Wit ness interviewed Wilma Young, who admitted that she had shot her father, as he had tried to assault her, and had done so on the pre vious day. Her father had strug gled with her in a shed near the house, where she had previously conicealed a gun. She -managed to obtain the gun, and she shot him as he was running towards the house. & sbatten28@optusnet.com.au who notes:
As you know my wife Kathy is one of Len Sharp's daughters he being the son of Susan Sharp Williams wife
and she tells me that this matter was often discussed by the family members and a somewhat different scernario
was in fact the case.
According to the family version of events the "facts"as given at the trial were fabricated to cover up the true state of affairs.
According to the family members William was a very gentle loving husband and dad and would never have molested his girls but
Susan was not averse to a bit of hanky panky, which she was engaged in with George on that day.
Wilna was not home when the incident occured but arrived home soon after and found her father dead.
the family members are of the opinion that George and Susan were together in the house and he told her to look out the window to see if anybody was around ,took his gun and went after William who was working in the shed and after an argument shot him
Wilna was then told that when the Police came she was to tell them that she was the guilty party and give as her reasons the molestation story.
Wilna is believed to have had a breakdown after the trial and spent some years in a mental home before going to Sydney where she died having married a Fellow of Chinese extraction
Interesting Too that Susan Married George Knowles in 1932.

Wilna married W. M. Arthur Burke. (W. M. Arthur Burke was born circa 1915.)
