Alfonso married Eleanor Plantagenet, daughter of Henry II Curmantle Plantagenet and Elbeonore Princess of Aquitaine, on 22 Sep 1177. (Eleanor Plantagenet was born in 1162 in Falaise, Calvados France and died in 1214 in Burgos, Castile Spain.)
