George Cupitt 09 Mar 1777 was Red Coat who deserted. He was given the choice of donning the Red again and come to the Colony as a guard or as a convict. He was not stupid. He stood in the line during the the Irish Rebellion of the 4th March 1804 (the 'Battle ofVinegar Hill').
