William Edward Meurant went to New Zealand where he worked as a sealer and trader and later became a Government Interpreter. His wife, Kenehuru, was from the Ngati Mahuta and her anglicised name was "Eliza".
My Grandmother was Elvira Izetta Meurant not Eliza as you have under the children born to Mary and Albert.
