John married Lucy Gasson, daughter of Thomas Gasson and Mary, on 25 Jun 1842 in St Mary the Virgin, Salehurst, Sussex England. (Lucy Gasson was born in 1821 in Sussex England, christened on 10 Oct 1824 in Salehurst, East Sussex England and died on 28 Mar 1900 in Queanbeyan, NSW Australia.)
