Noted events in her life were: • fact. Adela of Normandy also known as Adela of Blois and Adela of England was by marriage countess of Blois, Chartres and Meaux. She was a daughter of William the Conqueror - William I of England and Matilda of Flange. She was also the mother of both Stephen, King of England and Henry Blois, Bishop of Winchester. Adela married Stephen II Count of Blois in 1080 in Chartres France. (Stephen II Count of Blois was born in 1045 and died on 19 May 1102.) |
